Ethics, Compliance, and Corporate Social Responsibility - The Critical Role of HR Professionals

This program will focus on the planning and implementation of Ethics, Compliance and Corporate Social Responsibility Programs. We will review the SHRM competencies associated with Ethics and CSR and the regulatory frameworks concerning Ethics and Compliance. The bulk of the session will be focused on sharing and learning from each other about what works and what does not in regards to how to establish workable practice policies and procedures.

1. Develop Understanding of the SHRM Ethical Practice competency and the Ethical Practice proficiency standards by career level. 2. Be aware of and understand how the Federal Sentencing Guidelines establish benchmarks for Ethical and Compliance programs. 3. Understand the difference between Ethics, Compliance, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). 4. Gain knowledge about the frameworks that are being used today to assess CSR and or ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) performance.

About the Speaker: 

Dr. John Bunch began teaching at Central Michigan University in 2016 as a Fixed Term (teaching) faculty member in the Departments of Management and Entrepreneurship. He is currently a full time faculty member in the Department of Management and is a consultant for the MidMichigan Regional office of the SBDC in Mount Pleasant, MI.

 

This meeting has been approved for HRCI business and SHRM credits.   Attending this meeting will satisfy the new Ethics Requirement for HRCI recertification.

REFUND POLICY

If you are unable to attend a chapter event and wish to cancel your registration, you must notify the AHRM Board Secretary no later than the Friday prior to the event at 4pm. If you notify us prior to 4pm on the Friday prior to the event, you will receive a refund for your payment. If you are unable to notify us prior to this time, no refunds will be given. If you register for an event but choose to pay at a later date, but do not attend the event (or cancel within the specified timeframe) you will still be invoiced for the payment.
